(it is said you are never too old to learn; and i was not testing this theory on this my 42nd birthday when i set out my hands to accept my birthday present that arrived yesterday, but for the first time in my life decided to wait and open today. the dayum thing is spoiled rotten and i will never be able to enjoy it. it is said that is one of life's many other quirks too.)
